This new year, as our country continues to struggle with deep political division, dark cultural isolation, and what seems to me to be a basic and crippling fear of the "other", the unknown, and essentially, one another, Eliza and i hope to once again find comfort and connection out on the open road.

Happy New Year to you and yours! This year, we were fortunate to spend the holidays with family in the northeast. But now that it has become abundantly clear that we can no longer handle anything more than a mild, casual encounter with winter, it is time for us to pack up the van and head south... and west... and out... in search of adventures.

So, here are a handful of shots from a few of our past land cruises across this vast and wild USA. This place of mystical and glorious natural beauty but also of surprising and miraculous strangers. A beautiful wide open space of diversity, imagination, and spirit that never fails to amaze and inspire us. So please wish us well on our journey and we hope to meet you out there sometime soon!
